How to set up a Vertical Monitor?
Newbies and freshers often get confused when it comes to using the new technology or gadget for the first time. And that happens mostly because of the relatively common news approach. If you are thinking you just have to hold the screen flip it around and you are done with the vertical monitor set-up you are absolutely wrong!
This is because you need to make the display sync with the hardware alignment of the screen as well. So if you have bought a portrait display screen and are wondering how to set up a vertical monitor, here is what you need to do.
The Software Step
For the software step, make sure the screen is connected with wired properly and the display is on. Go into Setting Icon in the start menu and opt for the system and look for the Display title.
From there you will see multiple settings as landscape, portrait, landscape flipped, and portrait flipped. So choose the display orientation according to the display resolution and you are done!
The same thing can be done as: right click on the desktop anywhere and opt for the display resolution. From now you will see three main titles as resolution, display and orientation. Click on orientation and choose the portrait setting.
The Hardware Step
Now once you are done with the software solution, now flip the display monitor. However, while doing so I am pretty careful to not damage dislocating the hardware by putting too much pressure.
If your monitor is with a stand, flip the screen into vertical alignment. The rotation should be smooth if the monitor has been designed with such an ergonomic setting. But if you face any issues while doing so, look for the user’s manual that comes with the monitor for better assistance.
Note: You can also opt for the hardware step first, however it can be a little bit difficult for you to operate.
